Co-Curricular Programs

A collage of students participating in a variety of co-curricular activities

Co-curricular programs are opportunities designed to complement the curriculum and provide a direct link to what students are learning in the classroom. These programs, which may meet before, during, or after school, give students the chance to explore an interest in a specific subject or topic. The 21st CEF helps defray the cost for registration and transportation so that students can compete in programs and competitions and in the areas of their passions.

Few Destination Imagination teams get the opportunity to go to Globals. It’s a chance to represent their school, their county, and the state of Maryland on a global stage with thousands of teams from all over the world. It’s an incredible learning opportunity!

Adam Ashley, Team Manager, Millersville Elementary Masterminds

I joined the FLL robotics team last year and it was honestly one of, if not the greatest year of my life. I learned so much from the team: communications, engineering, programming, business, writing, and so many other skills that I will be able to use in my future careers or just life in general.
