Leadership Development Institute

The Leadership Development Institute is a joint program with AACPS and the 21st Century Education Foundation. Funding for participation in this program is provided by the 21st Century Foundation. This is a voluntary program and no compensation is provided to the participants. All participants are expected to attend and participate in the full program.

The majority of the 7 classes will be held on Friday evening or Saturday morning. However, 1 or 2 of these classes may be held during the week. In that case, a substitute will be provided for your position if necessary for AACPS employees only.

There is a two- step process for applying to the Leadership Development Institute:

• Part 1 is the completion of the application. Please ensure that you have followed the directions and that the application is completed as specified. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • The application window for the 2012-13 class is February 3, 2012 until March 30, 2012.

• Part 2 is the interview with members of the selection committee. Applicants to be interviewed will be notified in the late spring of their interview date.

  • All applicants accepted into the class will be notified with the full details pertaining to the class and the program agreement form. The agreement form must be signed and returned before first class.
