Glen Burnie High School Alumni Wall of Honor
The Glen Burnie High School (GBHS) Alumni Wall of Honor (AWOH) Committee supports GBHS and the community by providing a platform that acknowledges the extraordinary accomplishments of former graduates. The Committee works with the GBHS faculty and student body to encourage and identify ways to use the people, funding, and activities associated with the Committee to increase the motivation and focus of current and future students.
As an important partner to the GBHS community, you can contribute to our mission with a donation that will:
- Offset the ceremony expenses that honor inductees. Each year a ceremony is held at GBHS to honor inductees into the AWOH. The ceremony is a joyous occasion and is attended by students, teachers, family members, past graduates, civic leaders, and other distinguished guests.
- Support the upkeep of the Wall. With each year, wear and tear on our Wall of honorees must be maintained and updated. We’d like the Wall to be around for years to come to motivate future GBHS students.
- Support scholarships for current GBHS Students. Often, financial status is a barrier to students looking to be successful in their work life, family life, and ability to give back to the community. We’d like to provide additional support to a select number of students who intend to become future inductees.
