Career & Technology Student Organizations 
Provide enhanced student learning through contextual instruction, leadership & personal development, applied learning, and real-world application.  Funds will be used to support participation in out-of-state competitions for the following organizations:

  • SkillsUSA – SkillsUSA prepares our CAT-North and CAT-South students for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations
  • DECA – Distributive Education Clubs of America encourages the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions
  • FFA –  Future Farmers of America prepares students for leadership and careers in science, business, and technology of agriculture
  • TSA – Technology Student Association engages students pursuing opportunities in STEM
  • EdRising – Educators Rising provides aspiring educators opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills, and leadership in education

Chesapeake Association of Student Councils (CRASC)
The Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils (CRASC) is the representative organization for all AACPS middle and high school students; and was created to develop leadership skills, promote good sportsmanship, and to initiate improvements and activities for AACPS students. CRASC student leaders become student ambassadors for Anne Arundel County.

Harvest for the Hungry: Kids Helping Kids Campaign (Fall)
Food insecurity affects 1 in 3 of our students and Harvest for the Hungry helps provide their families with the food they need.

Homeless Student Support 
From covering fees for the SAT to providing transportation for a family member member to attend a Parent/Teacher conference, this program provides assistance for the nearly 1,000 students who experience homelessness each year. 

Kinship Support Program 
The Kinship Support Program provides summer camp experiences, dorm kits, support group meetings, and other resources to students who are in kinship care.   

Pathways to Peace
The Pathways to Peace Program supports students and works to mitigate the occurrences of school violence.  

Student Equity Advisory Team (S.E.A.T.) 
The purpose of the Student Equity Advisory Team (S.E.A.T.) is to implement a system-wide commitment to ensuring that student stakeholders “have a seat at the table” where they can listen, share, define, and influence their communities.
